What will happen if I use all this money, time, and energy, and I still fail? At some point in time, this type of question always arises in our mind. This is called self-doubt and overcome fear of failingis also really hard for some times.
In some situations like this, we all question whether or not we are doing enough, making enough money, or if we are going to be successful enough. Is this the right time that I can do this work? This is the result of self-doubt and a fear of losing.
However, these fear and self-doubt are definitely two of the most common barrier to success in life. In maximum cases, Self-doubt happens when we are lack self-esteem or feeling incapable of doing things we need to do.
Moreover, People who doubt themselves panic about things would go out of control or not going the way as expected.Where some portion of the people allows fear and self-doubt to hold them the security to a reality they don’t love.
In another part, some courageously set a model of facing fears, taking risks, and performing all out in life. So the moral is: If they can do it, so you can also.
Fear of something is nothing more than internal energy. We all have the individual power to choose how that energy is spent. And, self-doubt is your inner powerful voice that holds you back. Maximum people who become deadened by fear have a strong reluctance to failing which causes them to resist moving forward to achieve their goals.
But there are also some people who overcome fear to challenge them to do more. Positively, self-doubt and overcome fear can be useful as it helps you to steadily see your current limitations or simply recognize a bad plan. Gloomily, most of us have been trained by society to deal with fear and doubt in the worst way possible from childhood.
We resist it, over-analyse it, and think we’re weak for experiencing it in the first place. So, in most cases, it holds us back in life.
Once you heard a negative voices surrounding your head, say stop to your brain. Also that time, try to stay in the present note and focus on the positive way. Don’t let them mold out of control and grow from a noise to a stream of depressing sentences.
Some of the time worrying about what other people think of you will continue to hold you back from doing something potentially huge for yourself. Don’t let them control your mind. Otherwise, you’ll find yourself in a constant state of self-doubt and gradually it turns into a fear.
So when you found yourself in this beginning stage say in your mind, say or shout something like: No, no, no, we are not going down that plan again. By doing so you can confuse the thought pattern and stop that inner self-doubter from taking over. Also this helps to overcome fear of failure.
When for any reason someone declines you. It may be your co-worker that verbally trussed out at you is having a bad day. Getting hooked up in a decision is another surefire way to water the seeds of self-doubt.
It’s very easy to get stuck in trying to make decisions. When you worry about what others may think or say if you do something then the self-doubt can quickly become stronger and you get stuck in inaction and fear.
When this types of situation happens remind yourself that the truth is that people don’t care that much about what you do or not do. They have their hands full with thinking about themselves, their kids and pets, jobs and upcoming event and with worrying about what people may think of them.
When someone criticizes you then it’s easy to start doubting yourself. So start depending on yourself. Think that you are enough to think your way positively. Note it down and act accordingly.
Sometimes you will discover that you are doubting yourself the most when you are comparing what you are doing with what other people are doing. So, if you analyse yourself to other people all too often, to their successes you can quickly creep up.
Specially, when you compare your achievements to a colleague’s, you will start feeling inadequate. A better way to go about things is to compare yourself to yourself. To see how far you have come. To see what you’ve overcome. Learn to see how you’ve kept going, succeeded, and grown as a human being.
So compare your success with your ability will help you to overcome the fear of failure as well. Always remember everyone is on his or her journey. Their journey is completely different from your journey. Instead, focus on your self-development or self-comparison will help you to defeat self-doubt and overcome fear.
Sometimes, you start to do some journey but could not able to achieve that goal. It is because maybe your goal is not a realistic one. At that time when you have difficulty then you may start to see things in a negative way.
You might see this current delay or failure as something that will simply be your new normal. This way of looking at things can fool you in thinking that there’s no point in continuing to take action. Setbacks happen to everyone who takes chances. It is simply a part of our living life fully.
Sometimes things go well and sometimes they don’t. So don’t make a failure into this huge thing or into your identity. Use the mistake or failure to your advantage and to move forward once again in a smarter way to overcome fear of failure.
When you are strong-minded to achieve a certain goal then you to set a small goal accordingly. During you’ve taken one small step forward and you’re done with it then you have a win. It may be a small one but it’s still a win.
Don’t forget to enjoy success. Have a tasty snack or your favorite food for dinner, spend some time on your favorite hobby, or buy yourself something you’ve wanted for some time now. When you want to achieve your success you have to sharpen your skills.
Suppose if you usually get self-doubt before a presentation at work then sharpen your presentation skills. Before the presentation day, learn a few books about it and practice at home in front of a mirror or in front of your family. If you discover you are unable to do this, learn the experience or knowledge you need.
Then you’ll feel more confident, competent, and relaxed in such situations. Thus, you will get your self-esteem back. Also giving a small treat on this success will renew and recharge your motivation and make taking action feel more exciting and fun. And that will push self-doubts aside so that you can keep moving and get small and bigger wins.
Sometimes getting information from others can also improve our self-confidence and keep us motivated. While you keep your feelings on the inside they can become distorted, unrealistic, and not very much in line with reality or reasonable expectations.
While it is important to work on ourselves, it’s also a good idea to get support from your loved ones. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. They can be your partner, family members, friends, mentors, even a teacher. This is very much true when it comes to self-doubting thoughts.
Just letting them out and saying them out loud can often help you to hear how exaggerated these thoughts have become. And by talking about those self-doubts with someone supportive you can get a change in view.
