Lack of sleep can make a person feel crotchety the next day thereafter spoiling the whole day. Plenty amount of sleep is necessary to give our brain time to think and react accordingly. Science says that lack of sleep may result in depression and mood swings which affect our daily activities as it tends to increase negative emotional reactions and lessen the positive one. Seven to eight hours of sleep is compulsory to keep ourselves healthy and boost our mood. So, enough sleep is necessary to boost our mood. However, It is also important to not force sleep if you can’t sleep after 20-30 minutes, it might be best to get up and focus on an activity with minimal light until you feel tired.

It also gives you some much-needed self-reflection and alone time. Hence, automatically a great change can be noticed in the living and our mood. All you need to do to meditate is sit in a comfortable position, close your eyes, clear your mind as much as you can and focus on your breathing. The more we meditate, the more we can find what we like and what we dislike. It also increases empathy towards others and controls our feelings. Hence, gradually decreasing our depression and work as a mood booster.
In the 21st century, every one of us is addicted to gadgets. Why shouldn’t we be? Of course, it’s the most required thing in our day to day activities. We are blind without gadgets like phones, laptops, TV and so on. But these can be harmful at times too. Science says to cut off the screens at least before thirty minutes to sleep as it emits a blue light which is not only harmful to our eyesight but also for our brain. These blue lights suppress the secretion of melatonin, a hormone that regulates the sleep-wake cycle. This interrupts our sleep and spontaneously affecting our mood.
When I am in a good mood I feel like this, like everything is going perfectly. Even if an issue appears in a good mood day, I will just handle it with a smile and continue with my day. These above seven habits can change our lives and boost up our mood. You don’t need to change your entire life to find happiness.
